Rising Through the Ranks
Introduced to the dynamic world of the hospitality industry by a close friend, Ross's journey began when a job as a waiter at a local hotel restaurant fell into his lap. From the very first day, the whirlwind of the high-paced service, engaging guest interactions, and the vibrant social aspect of the job left an unforgettable mark on Ross.
Within a year's time, Ross found himself juggling roles at two hotels as well as at a bustling nightclub. In 2005 Ross stepped foot into The Devon Hotel as a Junior Assistant Manager.
It swiftly became apparent that Ross enjoyed the dynamic mix of business and leisure, with non-stop conferences and events. The tight-knit and friendly staff, a quality that still persists to this day, provided Ross with a warm and welcoming environment. Ross quickly became a valuable asset to the hotel whilst being guided by his mentors, he landed the position of Senior Manager
Ross ventured beyond The Devon Hotel after five years of working there but was drawn back to the hotel with the role of General Manager in 2021.
Now having held the title for two years, Ross's passion for the profession continues to burn brightly. One of his favourite things about his role is the joy of strolling through the hotel's corridors, engaging with both first-time visitors and regular guests of the hotel.
