A Journey of Dedication

Nicola has been with Brend Collection since the beginning of their ownership of The Imperial Hotel in 1998, continuing to work at the hotel when the hotel was purchased by the Brend family. Starting as Reception Manager, she brought extensive hospitality experience and a commitment to exceptional service from her previous job role. 

It was during her time at The Imperial Hotel that Nicola met her future husband, Shaun Brayley, who is the Head Chef at the hotel.

In 2006 and 2007, Nicola and Shaun's family expanded with the arrival of their two children. This marked a significant chapter in their lives, balancing their professional commitments with the joys of parenthood.

After several years at reception, Nicola transitioned to the Head Office, taking up a position in Central Reservations. Here, she thrived on talking with customers and managing bookings for all the hotels within the Brend Collection.

An opportunity arose for Nicola to assist in the Accounts Department for six weeks.  Recognising her potential, she decided to pursue a Level 2 AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification. Nicola then transitioned to a full-time position in the Accounts Department. In addition to her role in accounts, Nicola also works as Mr John Brend's secretary and has done so for the past 2 years. Her ability to manage multiple responsibilities with efficiency and poise has made her an invaluable asset to the company.

Nicola’s long-standing association with the Brend Collection is a testament to her loyalty and dedication. We are profoundly grateful for her unwavering commitment and the integral role she continues to play within the collection.
