Raising Expectations
Marta has been a vital part of The Carlyon Bay Hotel for 18 years. First making her debut in 2005 as a waitress in the Bay View Restaurant. Within 12 months her potential was spotted with a promotion to Restaurant Supervisor. Helping to oversee the restaurant and use her wide skillset to improve and assist with the training of all the restaurant team.
By 2009, Marta had joined the management team, undertaking several months of training within each department of the hotel to understand the virtue and importance each area of the hotel holds. This grounding along with her engaging personality, exceptional customer service and her ethos of hard-working led her to become Deputy Hotel Manager in 2016.
As part of Marta's continuing progression and investment by Brends, in 2017, Marta was able to further develop her career. Undertaking HR training and adding this to her portfolio of skills ably assisting in HR aspects within both The Carlyon Bay Hotel and the Brend Collection, obtaining a CIPD Level 5 Certificate in HR Management.
A Lasting Impression
You'll always see Marta around the hotel with a smile on her face, as she lends her attention to detail to oversee the quality of the bedrooms and public areas to ensure they are always to the highest standard. Working alongside our General Manager Ali, Marta overseas more than 150 employees and is known personally to every one of them, maintaining the friendly relationships that The Carlyon Bay is renowned for.
Having run over 400 weddings during her time at The Carlyon Bay Hotel, Marta is the main wedding coordinator of the hotel and uses her vast experience to train other members of the management team. Always going the extra mile for not just our wedding couples, but their families and all guests. Marta is frequently praised for delivering happy couples the most magical days of their lives.
Alongside exceeding expectations in the workplace, Marta is able to maintain a great work-life balance. Enjoying her time beyond The Carlyon Bay Hotel to focus on quality time with her 3 sons.
