Transforming Skills into Achievements

Holly Balanici has become a familiar and beloved face at The Carlyon Bay Hotel, where she has dedicated over seven years to delivering exceptional service and hospitality. Her journey with the Brend Collection began with a desire to leverage her retail experience in a new, dynamic field. Holly quickly discovered that not only could she apply her skills effectively, but the hotel also presented numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Joining the Southwest's leading hotel group, she soon found that her abilities were not only transferable but highly valued. The transition allowed her to explore various aspects of hotel operations, gaining a diverse skill set that would prove invaluable in her career. Holly has worked at both the Carlyon Bay Hotel and the Carlyon Bay Golf Club, and has also helped out at the Royal Duchy Hotel in Falmouth.

One of the aspects Holly admires most about the Brend Collection is their commitment to staff development. She has witnessed firsthand the incredible opportunities for growth and advancement within the company, regardless of the department in which one starts. Holly’s own career is a testament to the supportive and nurturing environment the Brend family cultivates. She started in the bar and worked her way up to the management team, honing her skills at the Golf Club in between. Holly was fortunate to complete both an NVQ Level 4 in Hospitality Management and participate in management development workshops with various other managers within the group.
