As a Hotel Florist you will be responsible for creating innovative floral decor and lead floral installations for the hotel lobby, restaurants, spa and other public areas. What will I be doing?
As a Hotel Florist at Saunton Sands Hotel, you are responsible for the upkeep in floral designs within the public areas to a high standard, communicating with other departments, working effectively within a team or on your own as well as achieving departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Able to create visually appealing flower arrangements for the hotels requirements
- able to provide specialized design and floral expertise to plan, design and create floral arrangements for all hotel events (when requested)
- Assist with the Loading and unloading of flowers and props from vehicles as and when required
- Ensure that all floral arrangements are within the allocate budget and deadlines are met for the hotel requirements
- Ensure proper communication of project status, timelines and delivery information to guests, bookers, organizers and other departments
- Billing and invoicing of orders are up to date
- Stay up to date and current in design trends, floral techniques, props and other products while keeping the hotel art deco design in mind
- Maintain photos of all variety of floral arrangements done as a sample or catalogue for guests/event enquiries
- Monitor all flower vase inventory and counts for breakage or loss
- Expedite reorder and new inventory for flower vase, floral foams as and when needed
- Ensure good relations with internal departments, clients and vendors to resolve issues
- responsible to water and maintain all in-house plants and floral decorations
- responsible for sorting, organizing, cleaning and restock all supplies
- Responsible for coordination with flower and floral product vendors
- Responsible for ordering flowers, floral products and monitor their arrivals with the vendors
- Any other duties and tasks in the area assigned by the manager or supervisor
What are we looking for?

- minimum 1 year of floral design experience
