Level 2 Apprenticeship with Brend Academy

Working as a commis chef is a great way of getting started in a kitchen; while it’s the most junior culinary role it provides a means of gaining hands-on experience learning a range of key skills. A commis chef is responsible for food preparation and also carries out basic cooking tasks under the supervision of a more senior chef.

As an apprentice, you will learn how to carry out the basic functions in every section of the kitchen. This is a great opportunity to experience, consider and value each section with a view to choosing an area where you feel most inspired.
